Bluetooth Technology: Is your device talking with one another?
Bluetooth is another breakthrough in modern technology. It is an open wireless connectivity that allows exchanging and transferring of data within the close-range vicinity. Bluetooth technology purposely created to replace cable devices. It creates personal area networks (PANs) by telecoms vendor Ericsson in 1994, which was originally conceived as a wireless alternative to RS-232 data cables. The simultaneous and the synchronize transmission of data is supported as it maintains the high levels of security.
Bluetooth uses short wavelength radio transmissions responsible in permitting device to communicate with one another. Any device with Bluetooth enable can connect to another Bluetooth enable devices to any point of direction at any given time within the allotted proximity.
Applications with standard Bluetooth behavior found to be communicating with one another, such as between mobile phone and a hands free headset, headset to MP3 player, wireless networking in PC’s ( Personal Computer)and peripherals , wireless communication between the input and output device of the PC connecting mouse, keyboard, printer and modem. It also used to establish two Internet networks by uniting and linking, wireless controllers that were provided by the three seventh – generation game consoles like Nintendo’s Wii, Sony’s PlayStation 3 and PSP Go, handheld PDAs, digital cameras , earpieces, digital cameras and many more. Personal computer that doesn’t have a built-in Bluetooth device can employ the Bluetooth adapter or “dongle” to open or permit the short-range communications. Latterly desktops and laptops come in structured embedded Bluetooth and the presently it was marketed with built-in Bluetooth radio that doesn’t need an external such as a Bluetooth dongle.
In Bluetooth technology every communication made easy and accessible, there is no need to attached cable wires that would consume your time and energy, wires do easily tangled up causing the area turns out to be messy it would be very chaotic if we let the wires bundle up. There is a possibility that in the long run if we continuously disregard the cluttering wire the outcome can become very risky and unsafe.
With Bluetooth, we can save time, save energy, save money at the same time. It can solve the major problems regarding transferring files and connecting with other device. It can eliminate also the ugly look of cluttering wires in your office, at home, within your gadget. It make life less complicated and end ups user hassles. In addition to that you can connect instantaneously and limitless with other Bluetooth enable in no time.
Bluetooth was developed in Scandinavia. The developer of this wireless technology firstly used the name “Bluetooth” as the “code name”. The word was coined from the name of 10th century Danish King Harald Bluetooth, who is known to be very influential in uniting and bridging Scandinavian Europe at times when the region is disintegrated cause by wars and feudalism.
The name “Bluetooth” and its logo are trademarked and manage by the private association named the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). Bluetooth SIG was founded in 1998 of September. It was known to be the integration of leaders in telecommunications, computing, network, industrial automation, and Automotive industries. This group is responsible for strengthening and boosting the Bluetooth technology by supporting and encourages development of innovative ideas to leverage the applications by conducting research and competition. Microsoft, Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Agere, Motorola, Nokia, Toshiba, and numerous other Associate Companies are SIG’s promoter company member.
The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) launched a Bluetooth Innovation World Cup was first held on 2009 and another one is on September 15 this year. I aims to stimulate new markets, creates new fields of applications and to establish Bluetooth low energy technology as the wireless data transfer standard for low energy applications.
Bluetooth device can always communicate with each other as long as the power or the access is on. Each Bluetooth enable device can send and receive through signal when they both addressing each other. Each device communicates with one another by means of given set of commands and responses know as protocol.
Protocol is the standard that controls the connectivity or what we called as the “language” of the device. Each electronic device should need to know the if the message they received is same as the message that was sent. Therefore, electronic discussion needs to know what the bits mean so that you can rest assured the two device that are communicating are compatible with each other.
Bluetooth doesn’t intent to replace wireless LAN technology, the fundamental goal of it is to simplify the connecting and linking of other devices with one another.
